Bank of America Student Annual Campaign
Connecting Students to Smart Banking
Background:
Bank of America's annual Student Campaign targets a critical audience: young adults navigating their financial independence for the first time. Each year, the bank leverages its suite of student-centric products: SafeBalance Banking®, Erica® (their AI financial assistant), and Merrill investment guidance to connect with students when they're most receptive to building smart financial habits. The recurring challenge: How do we create fresh, compelling messaging that cuts through the noise and positions Bank of America as the trusted banking partner for this year's cohort of students, meeting them where they live their lives?
Solution:
This year's campaign centered on a fundamental promise: students can be young, smart, and fee-free. Through integrated creative messaging designed for both exterior and interior spaces in Bank of America financial centers nationwide, we transformed branches into student-focused environments that brought this message to life. Each element from visual design to copywriting maintained consistent brand messaging around these three core pillars while promoting SafeBalance Banking®, Erica's financial guidance tools, and investment education through Merrill. By meeting students at critical touchpoints in their local branches, the campaign drove acquisition and product adoption while reinforcing Bank of America's commitment to making financial empowerment accessible to every generation of students.
